About Lisa Mitts Patrick

Lisa Mitts Patrick has been practicing law in Orange County since 1987. Most of her work has been in a general, civil litigation practice, in a wide variety of cases including criminal.

She graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a BA in history, and completed her Juris Doctor degree at Western State University, Fullerton, graduating with Scholastic Merit honors, in the top 12% of her class. She was also a charter member of the WSU Women’s Law Association.

She was an Adjunct Professor at WSU, Irvine teaching Legal Research and Appellate Brief Writing and since 2018 is again an Adjunct Professor in the Paralegal Studies Department of Fullerton College teaching Civil Litigation, Constitutional Law, Bankruptcy, Family Law, Wills/Trusts and Probate among others.

More About Lisa Mitts Patrick

She has litigated dozens of cases from start to finish including numerous court and jury trials, and has participated in a large number of arbitrations and mediations. Her discovery experience alone includes over 100 depositions.

Her Hearing Examiner experience flows from many years as an Arbitrator (alone or as Presiding Arbitrator in a panel of three) with the Orange County Bar Association’s Mandatory Fee Arbitration program, as well as volunteer Temporary Judge work for the Los Angeles and Orange County courts.

Nearly every year, she enthusiastically scores (and in the past coached) high school teams competing in the Orange County’s Constitutional Rights Foundation’s mock trial competitions. In 2014/2015 she won the Attorney Coaches of the year award, along with her three coach colleagues.

She is married with three adult children and many pets; is a licensed ham radio operator, an avid camper and outdoors”man”. She is also a photography and cake decorating hobbyist having just done her daughter’s wedding cake in Spring of 2025.
