Carlos Bocanegra, Attorney

Later in his career, Mr. Bocanegra served as an Attorney and Administrative Coordinator for a nonprofit coalition, where he tackled critical housing and land use issues. In this role, he utilized high-level analytical, problem-solving, and writing skills to address various land use issues and provided advocacy and representation before several San Francisco Boards and Commissions. Through his work on residential and mixed-use development projects, legislative zoning packages, and the Market and Octavia Area Plan, Mr. Bocanegra developed strong relationships and forged partnerships with city officials, developers, and the local community to achieve ambitious objectives.

Outside of his legal practice, Mr. Bocanegra has been an active member of his community He has served on the Board of the Latino Democratic Club of San Francisco, the Impact Advisory Board, and as Vice President for the Mission Adelante Board of Directors. Additionally, he is bilingual in Spanish, enhancing his ability to serve a diverse client base.
